"We are launching this new outdoor public art event to promote the Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley “Carter Crossing” project, which is aimed towards environmental preservation as well as providing safe, affordable housing options in the Carpentersville community. This highly visible event will draw visitors from all over the Chicago Metropolitan area creating quite a ‘buzz.

Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley aims to install 40 art sculptures around the municipalities of: Barrington, East Dundee, West Dundee, Carpentersville, and Elgin. Artists will have the ability to make their selected sculpture piece unique, while staying within the environmental preservation theme. Artists will work with their sponsor to develop a design idea for approval by Habitat."

To help get the word out about the Carter Crossing project and obtain sponsorship to support it, a social media campaign was created as well as a sponsorship packet detailing the different levels of sponsorship and the benefits to each. Once sculptures were created and installed, a souvenir guide was created to take people on a journey to see each sculpture in its home within the community. Maps were illustrated to work alongside a digital map to help make finding each sculpture a breeze and extra fun. A gala was also held to auction off each sculpture, deepening the monetary support toward the Carter Crossing project as well as keep each sculpture within the community, safe and apprecaited.
